Geotechnical Investigations
The geotechnical investigation is the first stage of our work on most projects. Most of our recommendations for a project are predicated on the data gathered during the investigation phase of a project. From geologic mapping to logging of borings or trenches to collecting and submitting soil samples for laboratory analysis, every aspect of the field investigation is a geotechnical building block in characterizing the geotechnical aspects of a site.
Our typical toolkit includes: small-diameter and large-diameter borings, backhoe excavations, CPT soundings, continuous core rigs, air-track drill rigs, dozer pits, seismic lines, geologic mapping, research, and laboratory analysis.
