LGC Coastal is interviewing the following position:

Project Manager:

Registration as an Engineer or Geologist a must; minimum two years experience.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of various projects from investigation to grading and post-grading. Responsible for monitoring of staff, maintaining budgets, communication with client and project team members, good organizational skills, and proposal and report writing. Must have standard capabilities in Excel and Microsoft Word; AutoCad is a plus.

Geologists must have a solid background in structure, sedimentology and engineering geology. Ability to develop field investigations, perform field mapping, construct geologic cross sections, down hole log borings and perform reasonable interpretations of data. Pluses: a background with hydrogeology, hydrology or seismology; knowledge of local geology; formal education from a local school.

Engineers should have capabilities in development of subsurface field investigations, working knowledge of field observation and testing, computer modeling, project management, perform engineering analysis and evaluation (i.e. settlement analysis, deep foundation design, liquefaction analysis, and slope stability analysis), and report preparation.

Qualified candidates should posses a strong academic background in geotechnical engineering with a good understanding of geotechnical engineering fundamentals, good written/verbal communication, team work skills, and general computer knowledge are essential. Experience with AutoCAD or geotechnical software is a plus.
